Update (20th April 2013):- We have applied for extended hours from 9am to 12 noon, opening to offer coffee and food only. All other hours will remain the same. We are on schedule for the reopening on Saturday 1st June afternoon and look forward to seeing everyone there. Mark & Julie

We would like to say a big hello to all surrounding the Red Lion, Baydon. We are Mark and Julie and would like to introduce ourselves to you as new landlords. We intend to do some work on the pub and will therefore be re-opening Saturday 1st June 2013. We will be opening with live music by a fantastic duo called “Gypsy’s Kiss” well known in Bristol. We will keep you posted as the day approaches.  Although it may seem a long time before we re-open, we have lots we want to do to make the Red Lion a warm, friendly and welcoming pub. We are sourcing local ales from Box Steam Brewery, the Ramsbury Brewery and West Berkshire Brewery along with local ciders. We will be offering exceptionally good wines at reasonable prices. As well as good home cooked food, we will also be open for morning coffee and afternoon tea, so let’s hope we have a beautiful sunny summer to make full use of the garden, and by then you will all be very thirsty !
