Baydon St. Nicholas School – Church Concert

Musicians from the local area joined forces to support Baydon School’s efforts to fund raise for its “Building for the future” project on Friday evening 16th October.

An appreciative audience packed St Nicholas Church to capacity to hear an excellent and varied programme of classical and light music from the shows.

Emma Pooley (vocalist) from Lambourn, was accompanied by pianist Joanna Taylor of Ramsbury.

The string quartet “Col Quattro” consisting of Helen Dearnley and Kim Austen (violin), Rachel Groves (Viola) and Julia Morris (Cello), have been playing together for over 11 years, also live in nearby villages with Kim living here in Baydon.

Headmaster Mr Peter Chambers thanked the performers for giving their time and talent to ensure such a successful event.

The amount raised for the Building Fund was an excellent £684.50.
