Baydon Women’s Institute Meeting of 13th March 2008
Baydon W.I. held their Annual General Meeting on Thursday 13th March, in the BYPA Hall.
Mrs Sheila McCleery was voted back as president. She thanked her committee for their support and hard work throughout the year and asked that members considered joining the committee.
The committee’s votes then consisted of Mrs Tina Evans secretary; Mrs Penny Stephens treasurer; other members were Mesdames Joelè McGowran, Juliet Keel and Pat Thompson.
Mrs Dorothy Newman then thanked Mrs McCleery and her committee for all their hard work in producing an excellent programme over the last year. Several members then shared their passions for collecting such things as cigarette cards and postcards, ducks, cats and dolls house furniture.
Mr Tony Prior and Mrs Brydgette Byron Edmond from the Baydon Village Plan Steering Group arrived after the business meeting to interview the Institute on all matters concerning life in Baydon.
Bloom of the Month was won by Mrs Tina Evans.
