Members enjoyed a very different and intriguing talk on Visual Illusions, at the W.I. meeting last Thursday evening. Dr. John Ericson took members through various “tests” that explained how the brain and eye could be tricked into believing facts that were not always true.
Mrs Sheila McCleery, president, reminded members that the Strawberry and Wine fund raising event would be held at her home on Friday 1st August 2008 at 7.30pm. The cost of the tickets would be £6.50 and she urged members to promote the occasion.
The competition for a mirror was won by Mrs Juliet Keel, second Mrs McCleery. Bloom of the month was won by Mrs Barbara Furber, second Mrs McCleery.
Next Month’s meeting will take the form of an outing to Lacock.
