Baydon St Nicholas School – Barn Dance

The St Nicholas School Fund Raising Committee under the leadership of Mr Bryan Harber achieved another spectacularly successful event on Friday evening 3rd July, in the form of a Barn Dance and Auction.

The Dance, led by the musicians of Apricot Pie, was enjoyed by all ages from 6 to 80 years of age.

The Auction, conducted by Mr Bryan Harber made a grand total of £1,200.

Mr Harber thanked all those who supported the event; Mr Charlie Nelson for allowing the use of his barn and the committee for all their hard work. Mr Harber also expressed his thanks to Mrs Debbie Moxom at the Baydon Stores for her support and help selling the tickets.

It is unsure at the moment just how much was raised at this event, which is for the new building project at St. Nicholas School. The committee has already raised £10,000 since February and it is hoped the proceeds from this latest event will boost funds further towards their target of £50,000.

The next event, planned for August, will be another Car Wash day.
